About me

Hi, I'm Amy.

An imperfect single mom of teenagers and lover of a slow life. My photography journey began in art school in Hawai'i where I learned the beauty in noticing the spaces in-between, and developed a desire to document the ordinary experiences that make life so beautiful. I grew up in Portland, Oregon but left at 21 and moved around for most of my adult life, finally settling down in Olympia a few years ago.

Living abroad and experiencing different cultures left me in awe of the human experience. Having the opportunity to truly see people—witnessing their authentic selves, and hearing their stories has been a gift. My work is a reflection of this love for a slower, more intentional way of living, where each photograph is a chapter in the story of our shared human experience.

I believe that life is lived in the moments we often take for granted, where authenticity shines through, and that's what I strive to capture in my work. My photography is not just about images; it's about documenting stories—the stories of who we are, the lives we live, and the connections we share.
